FIELD: printing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods of estimating image reproduction quality on copies obtained on printers, copiers and multifunctional printing devices using an electrophotographic image transfer process. Disclosed group of inventions includes a method of evaluating print quality and a set of means for implementing said method. Disclosed method of evaluating print quality involves combined application of the steps of instrumental and visual inspection with fixation of measurement results, wherein a visual assessment of the state of the cartridge is carried out with subsequent weighing, sending to print a plurality of test objects with subsequent determination of image and background optical density by means of a spectrophotometer, wherein sheet for subsequent determination of optical density of background is carried out with preliminary gluing on clean sheet in centre of clean sheet with removal of sheet after printing sheet, determination of adhesion by abrasion by means of an adhesion meter, determination of arithmetic values of optical density of image, background and adhesion, visual detection of printing defects and repetition of said steps before the end of the toner in the cartridge or before printing defects, after which removing the cartridge, disassembling it, weighing each part, counting printed pages and outputting quality evaluation by comparing set of obtained measurement results with established quality criteria, wherein determination of optical density of the image is carried out by measuring in five black squares of each sheet, determining the optical density of the background is carried out by measuring at four points at the white sheet angle and at one point at the centre of the region under the removed sheet, the adhesion value is determined from the measurement of the optical density of printing with 100 % black in five points - in four corners and in the centre of the print as a percentage of the arithmetic region optical density average value to the arithmetic footprint average arithmetic optical density value of the region of the impression.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of objectivity of evaluation of quality of produced printing on multiple measured parameters, provision of universality of measurements, improvement of accuracy of determination of differences of compared images.
