SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of information technology. To this end, a method of identifying an online user and a device thereof, comprising a primary online user access to an online service on a network, creation of records in device storage containing information on user and its device, information comparison, then server module is installed on server, which generates a unique identifier of an online user and device thereof, based on user identifiers - MSISDN, SUDID and UHSI, writing a unique identifier, adding a client module with an identification functionality to the online service executable code; during repeated use identification of user and its device is performed by means of modules, compliance of hardware and subscriber identifiers is verified using command/update actualization message; current identifier is compared with identifier stored on server.
EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability of identifying an online user in a network and providing security of accessing information resources.
