FIELD: aerospace engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerospace engineering, particularly, to landing systems. Device for landing the return stage of the rocket consists of a mesh structure on the ground surface made from heat-resistant steel and a mechanical manipulator. Mesh structure is made in the form of truncated cone and is installed on hinged supports. Manipulator actuators are located above it. Inner cavity of mesh structure is directed towards zenith. Diameter of smaller base provides passage through it of tail section of carrier rocket. During landing rocket unit moves to small base of truncated cone and slides along inner surface of mesh structure. Mechanical manipulator corrects movement of rocket unit, directing it to center of device.
EFFECT: reduced weight of rocket.
