FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials intended for fire protection of structural elements operating in extreme conditions of flame effect caused by fire. Disclosed is a composition for making a foaming fire-resistant coating, comprising a lacquer solution of chlorosulphonated polyethylene CSPE-20, modified with epoxy resin ED-20, composition contains asbestos, processed for adhesives of A or B grade, diphenylguanidine, melamine, glass hollow microspheres MC-VP-A9, treated with surface-active composition based on AGM-9, oxidised graphite, aerosil in following ratio of components, wt.pts.: lacquer solution of chlorosulphonated polyethylene, modified with epoxy resin, 68–75, asbestos 4.0–6.0, melamine 6.0–9.0, oxidised graphite 12.0–16.0, glass hollow microspheres treated with surface-active composition, 1.5–3.5, aerosil 0.1-0.15, diphenyl guanidine 0.1–0.15.

EFFECT: reduced weight of the coating while maintaining and even improving operational properties owing to the disclosed formulation, which reduces thermal conductivity and high strength in the coating, high heat insulation characteristic and reduced density.
