FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aqueous emulsions containing copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate or copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate and polyalkyl(meth)acrylates, and a method of producing said emulsions. Besides, present invention relates to application of said aqueous emulsions as anti-gel additives to crude oil. Aqueous emulsion for lowering the pour point of crude oil includes: a) from 50 to 60 wt % of an organic phase dispersed in an aqueous phase, wherein said organic phase contains a mixture containing from 24 to 30 wt %, based on the final emulsion, copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate or copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate and polyalkyl(meth)acrylates, called a polymer component, and an organic solvent with a high boiling point, having boiling point Tboil greater than or equal to 110 °C, or a mixture of said solvents, b) a primary emulsifier with concentration greater than or equal to 0.1 wt % and less or equal to 3 wt %, in terms of final emulsion and c) from 37 to 47 wt % of aqueous phase. Weight ratio of said polymer component to said organic solvent in final aqueous emulsion is at least 1/1, and where the organic solvent and any polymer of the polymer component have such a Hildebrand solubility parameter δ, that difference (δsolvent—δpolymer) is less than 2 in absolute value for any polymer of polymer component. Described also is a method of preparing aqueous emulsions for lowering the pour point and use thereof as additives to crude oil which prevent gelling, as well as paraffin oil with average paraffin content greater than or equal to 5 wt % and from 500 to 5,000 wt % of aqueous emulsions of said composition.

EFFECT: technical result is providing increase in the rate of dissolution of the emulsion in crude oil, as well as a significant reduction in the pour point of crude oil from 15 to 30 °C.
