FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing a coagulant. Described is a method of producing a clarified mixed coagulant of aluminum dihydroxochloride, involving preliminary crushing and grinding of kaolin clay, calcination thereof at temperature of 650–750 °C, production of liquid pulp in reactor-agitator from calcined clay and water at weight ratio equal to 1:1.3, then in heated to temperature of 90–95 °C. Said pulp is fed by gravity from metric 36 % hydrochloric acid and during 1.5–2.0 hours, kaolin clay is stirred and leached for 1.5 hours with water vapor supply with temperature of 160–170 °C in amount of 100 kg/h per 1 ton of suspension, wherein working temperature of leaching is maintained in range of 100–105 °C, wherein the coagulant solution obtained in the mixer reactor is treated with a reactive mass which is an aqueous solution of the cation-active flocculant with concentration thereof equal to 0.01 mg/l, with continuous stirring of pulp for 1–2 minutes and settling for 40 minutes, after which clarified part of aluminum dihydroxochloride coagulant in amount of 70–75 % of total volume is separated by filtration from solid residues and treated with silicic acid in amount of 2 % of the total weight and removed from the process, and the coagulant and coagulant Si stoff obtained in the precipitate are returned for repeated re-shaping into the total volume.

EFFECT: technical result is simplification of technology.
