FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing aluminium hydroxochloride from boehmite-kaolinite bauxites and hydrochloric acid involves bauxite dissolution in a steam steriliser with hydrochloric acid in the concentration of 200-300 g/l in ratio solid:liquid = 1:3-5 at temperature 150-225°C for 1-2 hours.
EFFECT: invention enables reducing power consumption, simplifying the process and increasing a recovery rate into an aluminium oxide solution.
