FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective materials from radiation and emission of rays and can be used in manned and automatic spacecraft and satellites, where protection of people or equipment against harmful radiation is required. Protective material can be placed in closed confined space without direct access to a person. Space of the spacecraft body, liquid, layers of rubber, additional types of protection against radiation, and so forth can limit this space.
EFFECT: technical result is achieved by placing a protective material on a layer of material on the surface of the body of the spacecraft from the outside or into a space limited by walls, layers or faces, with the possibility of regulating the microclimate of said space, in which protective material is placed, which contains or on its surface particles or spores of fungal mould, which under action of radiation are able to increase their weight and at the same time increase efficiency of protective material by more intense absorption of radiation.
