SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of image formation control technology, in particular to a method and device for prompting information on safety of used printed sub-boards. Technical result of the claimed technical solution is achieved due to that after powering-up of the image forming device authentication is performed using the main control printed-circuit board, on each of one or more printed sub-boards inside the image forming device, and if the imaging device comprises a printed sub-board without authentication, a prompt message is output by the main control printed-circuit board.
EFFECT: technical result is prevention of leakage of user information in case printed sub-board in image forming device is replaced or maliciously changed.
