FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring devices for determining colour of various objects, including with diffuse and specular reflection properties, and can be used to determine colour characteristics of rocks in form of dense or loose aggregates composing the earth's crust, in particular for sea bottom sediments. Installation for determination of colour characteristics of rocks is made in form of sealed opaque housing consisting of two parts, one of which includes optical module, fixed on pan located in second part of housing and equipped with movable carriage for sample. At that, the optical module is made in the form of a photometric ball with an internal diffusely reflecting surface and four holes: for an analytical window located in the lower part of the ball perpendicular to its central normal, that geometrical centre of window coincides with longitudinal central axis of carriage, holes for digital camera and mirror trap, located in upper part of ball symmetrically to its central normal at angle of 8°, and holes for light source located perpendicular to vertical normal passing through ball centre. At that, the camera is fixed on the outer side of the ball, and the lighting source is installed outside the ball in a tubular channel tightly adjacent to the sphere hole so as to exclude straight-line light penetration onto the sample surface. At that, diameter of hole for mirror trap should be not less than diameter of hole for lens of digital camera, but not more than diameter of analytical window, diameter of which is selected so as to provide coverage of the camera lens sufficient for studying part of the sample surface, and all internal surfaces of the installation housing, including the outer surface of the ball, are coated with a light-absorbing substance.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of increasing installation mobility and reliability of analysis.
