FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes a light source, a device for forming an image of the selected area of the surface of the control object in form of a digital camera, and apparatus for spatially fixing the control object relative the projection plane of the optical image of the selected area, which is in form of a bearing surface placed in the projection plane with possibility of turning about its own axis. The apparatus has an extra light source. The light sources are placed on different sides of the camera on the mounting surface of a support with possibility of turning about their axes and displacement of the camera and light sources relative each other. The mounting surface of the support lies perpendicular to the focal axis of the objective lens of the camera with possibility of moving along it and rotating about the bearing surface.
EFFECT: simplification of the device, broader functionalities and possibility of inspecting the surface of fire and explosion hazard objects.
