FIELD: materials science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of materials science, namely to the discovery and application of new ecologically safe biocides. Disclosed biocide is an intracomplex compound of tris(2-hydroxyethyl)amine, specifically tris(2-hydroxyethyl)ammonium salt of cinnamic, salicylic or benzoic acid. Described is a composition of disclosed biocides for protective biostable coatings. Biocides can be used in compositions of protective coatings, in particular for protection of materials from bio-corrosion and bio damage.
EFFECT: introduction of biocide in amount of 3 wt% of the organosilicate coating based on polymethylphenylsiloxane resin improves the coating's bioresistance to microorganisms-destructors of materials and prolongs its service life.
