FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coating compositions characterized by physical properties or action of the obtained coating, and can be used for heat insulation of pipelines in housing and industrial construction, as well as in instrument-making for obtaining thin heat-insulating coatings. Disclosed coating is made of water-suspension composition with hollow microspheres. In addition, coating is added before or during its application with inert gas in gas-liquid phase at excess pressure from 30 to minus 0.099 MPa and temperature from 200 to 500 K.
EFFECT: introduction of inert gas into the coating before its deposition in gas-liquid phase increases its vapor-permeability and reduces volume of space between microspheres, which increases its heat-shielding characteristics.
