METHOD FOR ASSESSING RELATIVE NON-UNIFORMITY OF LENGTHS OF LOWER EXTREMITIES Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B6/02

Abstract RU 2742074 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to roentgenology, traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for assessing relative non-uniformity of lengths of lower extremities. Method involves using auxiliary lines drawn through certain anatomical landmarks, including an apex of a "tear" figure, an upper point of the roof of the cotyloid cavity, an upper point of the femoral head, an upper point of the greater trochanter and a lateral point of the terminal line of the pelvis. As a result of the obtained constructs, the acetabular-supratrochanteric (ASS) and acetabular-trochanteric (ATS) segments are calculated. A comparative acetabular-trochanteric index (CATI) is calculated by formula: CATI = ATS-IS/ATS-KS*100, a comparative acetabular-supratrochanteric index (CASI) by formula: CASI = ASS-IS/ASS-KS*100. Determining one of five types of CATI and CASI combinations. Relative non-uniformity of lengths of lower extremities at types 1 and 2 is estimated as absence of relative non-uniformity of the lower extremities, at type 3 - as relative non-uniformity of lengths of lower extremities, not accompanied by non-uniformity of longitudinal sizes of cotyloid cavities, at type 4 - as relative non-uniformity of lengths of the lower extremities partially compensated by non-uniformity of longitudinal sizes of cotyloid cavities, at type 5 - as relative non-uniformity of lengths of the bottom extremities caused by non-uniformity of longitudinal sizes of cotyloid cavities.

EFFECT: method provides higher effectiveness of preoperative assessment and planning due to objective comparative assessment of ratios of pelvic and femoral segments of opposite hip joints, as well as increases a contingent of patients to whom this assessment can be made.
