FIELD: heat power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to heat engineering and can be used, in particular, to reduce content of nitrogen oxides in combustion products of thermal units for various purposes, for example, boilers during combustion of different types of organic fuel. Method for purification from nitrogen oxides of fuel combustion products in gas duct of thermal unit consists in the fact that as a reducing agent water solution of carbamide is used, which is mixed with superheated steam and then feeding the first obtained mixture to high-temperature and low-temperature zones of the gas duct. At that, activator of catalytic oxidation of nitrogen oxides is mixed with superheated steam and then the second produced mixture is supplied to low-temperature zone of gas duct, after which activator of catalytic oxidation of nitrogen oxides is removed from gas duct to the area of its low-temperature zone, into which first produced mixture of aqueous solution of carbamide with superheated steam is supplied. Activator of catalytic oxidation of nitrogen oxides used is natural ore containing, wt%: Fe2O3 - 3-29; MnO2 - 7-43; balance - oxide minerals up to 100%. Also disclosed is an apparatus for implementing the method of purifying combustion products from nitrogen oxides.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides higher and stable degree of purification of flue gases from nitrogen oxides.
