Disclosed is an isolated Fusarium MK7 strain deposited as ATCC Deposit No. PTA-10698 and producing a high-energy metabolite in a form of lipid, ethanol and/or hydrogen. Disclosed are also methods for producing the high-energy metabolite with the use of said strain as well as the composition for producing the high-energy metabolite in a form of lipid, ethanol and/or hydrogen. Disclosed is the method for culturing said strain.
