FIELD: printing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device (10) for printing on cans includes blanket wheel (16) having multiple printing blankets (20). Each printing blanket has printing surface (21), wherein at least two of printing surfaces have first part (22) and second part (32), each of which having elevated and recessed sections. First raised section (26) is configured to generate positive image (40a) on can body (100) from plurality of can bodies. First raised section (26) of at least one of printing blankets differs in form from the first raised section (26) of at least one of the other printing blankets. Second recessed portion (38) is configured to generate negative image (40b) on the can body. Negative image is inverse to positive image. First part (22) and second part (32) are located relative to each other so that negative image (40b) is aligned with positive image (40a) on the can body.
EFFECT: device for printing on cans and corresponding methods are proposed.
