FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: single-phase short circuit current compensation method involves connection of the electric mains to the ground through reactors and capacitors tuned to resonance with the entire electric network capacitance. According to invention, grounding of all three phases is performed on each switched section of electric mains separately, and in series with reactors resistors are connected, which active resistance is selected in accordance with the expression R≥E/UωC, where ω is angular frequency of the network; C – capacity of capacitors; U is actual value of voltage on reactor at resonance value of current; E is the effective value of the phase EMF of network.
EFFECT: higher safety of networks due to reduced currents of single-phase earth faults in them, as well as increased reliability of electric mains due to reduction of maximum values of arc overvoltage.
