SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steam turbines, in particular to sealing devices in steam turbines. Various embodiments comprise a rotor locking element (20), as well as a corresponding assembly and steam turbine (2). Specific embodiments comprise rotor locking element (20) intended to retain circumferential seal (24, 124) in radial direction in steam turbine (2) rotor housing (46) and having main part (26), dimensions of which provide its contact with circumferential seal axial surface (56), and projection (28, 34) extending from main part (26) in axial direction from circumferential seal (24, 124) and made with dimensions providing, in fact, addition of appropriate flange (134) in steam turbine (2) rotor housing (46) to limit movement of circumferential seal (24, 124) relative to steam turbine (2) rotor housing (46).
EFFECT: use of the disclosed locking element reduces wear of the circumferential seal and adjacent components.
