FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geophysics and can be used in the search, exploration and development of mineral resources (gas, oil) to determine the location of productive reservoirs in rocks opened by a well. The method includes measuring the temperature along the wellbore, recording the thermogram and mathematical processing of the measurement results. In this case, the thermogram is recorded by taking temperature measurements at different recording speeds. Then, the resulting geothermal curve is approximated by a polynomial of the first degree. Using geothermic data, the regression equation is calculated and a regression line is built. The slit section with the convex character of the geothermal curve in relation to the calculated regression line is identified as a zone with an exothermic character corresponding to the area of hydrocarbon generation and formation of the deposit. Then within the depths of the areas of generation and the formation of deposits, the temperature measurements are carried out with a fractional step of quantization, and with abnormally low temperature fixation, the border of lower temperatures is identified as the contact of hydrocarbons deposit with the reservoir water.
EFFECT: technical result is the identification of hydrocarbon generation zones leading to the formation of a hydrocarbon deposit, and the separation of the "hydrocarbons – reservoir water" boundary in the deposit.
