SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sanitary appliances. The drain valve comprises a body with a drain hole, the drain hole being bounded by the valve seat, and a shutter tightly adhering to its seat in the closed state of the drain valve. The valve body contains a chamber located in front of the seat in the direction of discharge for water receipt. The shutter is located in the chamber. The valve body contains a connecting pipe made with the possibility of connecting the drain valve to a drain pipe connected to the drain tank or to a drain pipe connected to the drain tank. The shutter is equipped with an auxiliary chamber for receiving water, the capacity of which in the open state of the drain valve is less than in its closed state. The auxiliary chamber is defined by a flexible and/or movable wall section. The shutter is connected to a flexible and/or movable section of the auxiliary chamber wall. The auxiliary chamber is provided with an auxiliary drain valve, which, in the first position, ensures the inflow of water into the auxiliary chamber, and in the second position, drains water from the auxiliary chamber.

EFFECT: drain valve is provided, which could be located outside the drain tank and which would be accessible for maintenance and dismantling through an inspection opening that is closed by a toilet or urinal.
