FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an absorbent article which can be easily pulled up during insertion / wearing and can reliably provide an absorption zone for the body fluid released. Absorbent article (10) comprises absorbent core (31) and side valve (15) extending outward in direction of width from absorbent core. Absorbent core includes a zone obtained by dividing the absorbing core total length in the forward-backward direction into three equal parts, the perineal zone and the back area. Length of side valve in width direction in perineal area makes at least 30 mm. Perineal zone (R13) includes a central zone (R13C) and side zones (R13S) located on both outer sides of the central zone in the width direction. Parts (33) with low surface density are provided on both outer edges of central zone extending in front-back direction. Central zone has contracting force acting in forward-backward direction, which is greater than tightening force in side zones acting in forward-backward direction.

EFFECT: absorbent article is disclosed.
