FIELD: disposable diaper.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a disposable diaper. The absorbent element (4) of the diaper (1) includes in the crotch part (C) a central absorbent element (4C) extending in the longitudinal direction, two side absorbent elements (4S, 4S) located respectively on both sides of the central absorbent element in the transverse direction, wherein the lateral absorbent elements are configured to rise from the skin-facing side of the surface of the central absorbent element in the wearing state, and two flex-guiding sections (45, 45). The absorbent core (40) of the absorbent element (4) has a central zone (41) in the central absorbent element (4C) and lateral zones (43) in the respective lateral absorbent elements (4S), while the central zone (41) and lateral zones (43) are separated from each other by the two mentioned flex-guiding sections. The flex-guiding section (45) is formed by a slot or groove and its width till the liquid absorbing part is from 10 to 30 mm. In the absorbent core (40) in the basic swollen state, the width of the side zone (43) exceeds the width of the central zone (41), and half the width of the central zone (41) is 0.7 or less of the thickness of each lateral zone (43).
