SUBSTANCE: diaper (10) includes along the direction of its width: two stretchable zones (C1, C2, D1, D2), each having a fixed and stretched elastic element (34, 35), and an unstretchable zone (C3, D3) which is located between the two stretchable zones. Absorbent core (22) is formed from modular zone and non-modular zone (216), which is located outside the modular zone in the direction of the length or outside the modular zone in direction of the width. Modular zone is formed by sections (214a) with high base weight and sections (214b) with low base weight. Thickness and base weight of the non-modular zone (216) are constant. Modular zone is located in the unstretchable zone (C3, D3).

EFFECT: fixed end part of the elastic element (34, 35) is located in the non-modular zone (216).
