FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for hatching chicks from hatching eggs with the use of a pheromone composition. The method consists in the fact that eggs are pre-incubated, and eggs are additionally incubated until chicks hatch from eggs in a hatcher containing a pre-calculated volume of air. The hatched chicks are then removed from the hatcher and poorer quality chicks are weeded out. The remaining chicks are then placed in shipping containers which are designed to transport the chicks to the hen house where they are fed for the first time. The air in the hatcher contains an effective amount of the pheromone composition with the calming effect of the pheromone of the laying hen at least during the final stage of additional incubation and hatching of chicks from eggs in the hatcher.
EFFECT: reduced percentage of chicks lost in the hen house during the first week, as well as the associated use of antibiotics, without the need to hatch chicks in the house itself.
