FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry and can be used as an express method of assessing the average content of precious metals in the man-made waste of gold recovery factories and washing devices used in the beneficiation of ores and sands of placer and ore deposits. The method for the accelerated assessment of the average content of precious metals in processing waste includes taking a sample of the material followed by sieving the sample into specified fractions. The material of each fraction should undergo fragmentation. The material of each fraction is crushed and sieved into the fractions. After that each fraction is examined with the help of a microscope. Then all precious metal particles should be counted and their mass in each fraction and in the sample should be determined.
EFFECT: invention reduces the time spent on determining the average content of precious metals in the rock mass with possibility of using the method in the field and ensuring required accuracy of the results.
