FIELD: optical instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in laser locators when receiving a signal in the photon counting mode. The method for measuring the number of reference one-electron pulses that fit in the pulse stream contains the stages at which time discrimination of overlapping one-electron pulses is applied at the output of the discriminator, which makes it possible to compensate for miscalculations and increase the dynamic range of recording the input flow intensity.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in the maximum count rate of photocounts when registering the radiation intensity in the photon counting mode.
