FIELD: measuring energy spectrums of nuclear radiation.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method for spectrometer measurement of nuclear radiation is characterized in that events are measured only within time interval in which mechanism of time interval distribution among events is of exponential character. Spectrometer system implements this method by using in its control channel analog-linear event-repetition time-interval measurement circuit incorporating charging capacitor, time-amplitude converter, differential discriminator, and linear gates, lower discrimination threshold of discriminator complying with time affording exponential mechanism of distributing amplitude spectrum of measured event-repetition time intervals.

EFFECT: eliminated distortions caused by measuring equipment dead time, counting error, and superposition of measured events at high loading of detector.
