SUBSTANCE: granules from an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition contain an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, a boron compound and a predetermined amount of at least one component that suppresses the occurrence of fish-eye defects, while the surface areas of the granules from the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition have a boron compound content not higher than 1.7 ppm in terms of boron, based on the weight of the granules.
EFFECT: ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer granules are capable of suppressing fish-eye defects even when used to form a single layer of ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer films.
