FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: polymerizer comprises the polymerization reactor and one or more compressor. The monomer mixture is compressed in sequence of the compression stages. Then, the compressed gas mixture is cooled after each compression stage of the recycling gas to feed fresh ethylene. After cooling, the monomer mixture fraction is recovered from the remaining gas and recycled to the polymerizer in liquid form. The part of the liquid fraction is purified after compression of the monomer mixture in the corresponding compression stage to the pressure of 0.2-10 MPa before entering the polymerizer.

EFFECT: reduction of corrosion caused by the decomposition products of the comonomers and the obtained copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate esters, as well as production increase of the ethylene and vinyl esters in the copolymerization under high pressure.
