SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the disinfection of the air and the passenger compartment of public transport. The method of disinfection of the air and the passenger compartment of public transport includes air disinfection using a disinfection device and includes permanent and temporary treatment modes. The permanent mode is turned on in the presence of passengers in the passenger compartment of public transport, while the air is directed to the disinfection device through a fan. Then the air is mixed with ozone supplied from the ozone generator. After that the air flow with ozone is cleaned off ozone using an ozone purification device. The disinfected air purified from residual ozone is sent back to the passenger compartment. The temporary mode of disinfection of the passenger compartment is switched on in the absence of passengers in the passenger compartment. The disinfection device generates ozone and supplies it to the passenger compartment of public transport. The disinfection of the passenger compartment is carried out for a time t determined on the basis of the calculation of the productivity of the ozone generator and the volume of the passenger compartment. When the time t is over, the ozonized air is taken from the passenger compartment and cleaned off ozone. The air intake from the passenger compartment is stopped when the ozone value in the ambient air is 0.03-0.05 mg / m3.
