WEAKLY DIRECTIONAL HELICAL ANTENNA WITH CIRCULAR POLARIZATION OF THE RADIATION FIELD Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC H01Q1/14

Abstract RU 2744042 C1

FIELD: antennas.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna devices and can be used in telecommunication systems. The technical result consists in the development of an antenna with a radiation pattern which is omnidirectional in the azimuthal plane and directed in the elevation plane, with a maximum radiation oriented in the azimuthal plane or deviated from it, with a radiation field close to circular polarization within the width of the main lobe of the radiation pattern, with the possibility of reducing the width of the main lobe of the radiation pattern. This goal is achieved by the fact that the antenna consists of four identical cylindrical spiral conductors, which are characterized by the radius of the supporting cylinder forming them, the number of turns and a variable angle of winding of the conductors, which increases linearly from the beginning of the conductors at their power point to the outer end of the conductors, while the spiral conductors are placed on the support cylinder and rotated around the cylinder axis with a step of 90°, while certain numerical values of the geometric parameters of the spiral conductors are selected, which are the same for all conductors, and a certain mode of excitation of the conductors is implemented at their power points, which are located on the surface of the reflecting screen.

EFFECT: development of an optimized antenna device.
