FIELD: technological process.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of welding of plastic pipes by connecting parts with an embedded heater and may be used for welding polyethylene pipes under surrounding temperatures below regulated. The invention is intended for realization of high-quality welded connection without constructing a special heated construction. The mentioned technical result is achieved through bringing the temperature in the melting zone between the pipe and the socket to the temperature from the regulated acceptable interval between 15°C below zero and 45°C above zero. Cooling temperature is set equivalent to the surrounding temperature from the regulated interval. Prior to welding of plastic pipe a specific voltage is sent through the terminals of the socket and preheating is executed. For the welding apparatus to be able to weld under low surrounding temperatures, a program is installed into its software wherein the program contains computational data on the supplied voltages for preheating, manufacturing pause and cooling speed of the welded connection. The temperature in the melting area and the cooling speed of the welded connection under any low temperature are forced to be set equivalent to those during welding under low temperature from the regulated interval considering the surrounding temperature.

EFFECT: invention enables high-quality welded connection without constructing a special heated construction.
