SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of external ballistics, namely mathematical modeling of the trajectory of unguided artillery shell, and takes into account the air drag force of an unguided artillery shell in the system of differential equations of motion of the center of mass of an artillery shell. The method allows one to calculate the individual function of the air resistance of an unguided artillery shell, based on the results of calculating the flight trajectory of the shell and using the time of accounting for the Mach value as a weight function and the corresponding value of the air drag function of an unguided artillery projectile.

EFFECT: reduced tests amount and improved accuracy of the firing tables of the barrel artillery by more accurately taking into account the air drag force of an unguided artillery shell.
