FIELD: electronic payment systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method to operate a gift card network. The method takes the first registration data from the first commercial enterprise that has sales offices, and processes the first registration data to establish the affiliation of the first commercial enterprise to the gift card network; takes the second registration data from the second commercial enterprise that has second sales offices, and processes the second registration data to establish the affiliation of the second commercial enterprise to the gift card network; receive card issuance data from the first commercial enterprise reflecting the unique serial number and monetary value associated with the network gift card issued by the first commercial enterprise; takes transaction data from the second commercial enterprise indicating that part of the said monetary value of the network gift card has been drawn at the second commercial enterprise; in response to the transaction data receipt from the second commercial enterprise, credit is issued to the first comercial enterprise equal to or derived from the cost that was paid off at the second commercial enterprise.

EFFECT: technical result is electronic payments expansion.
