SUBSTANCE: quantum memory system contains an optical apparatus made of doped polycrystalline ceramics, a magnetic field generation unit, a memory photon generator and one or more pump lasers, wherein the optical apparatus made of doped polycrystalline ceramics is located in the magnetic field of the magnetic field generation unit when the magnetic field generation unit generates a magnetic field; one or more pump lasers are optically connected with the optical apparatus made of doped polycrystalline ceramics; and the memory photon generator is optically connected with the optical apparatus made of doped polycrystalline ceramics and is configured to output an entangled memory photon pair containing a first entangled memory photon entangled with a second entangled memory photon; the optical apparatus made of doped polycrystalline ceramics is doped with a rare-earth element dopant, which is uniformly distributed in the crystal lattice of the optical apparatus made of doped polycrystalline ceramics.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of containment of a photon in an optical apparatus.
