FIELD: toners.
SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to the field of toners and methods for producing toners. The claimed group of inventions includes a method for producing toner and emulsion aggregation toner versions. The claimed method for producing toner includes: providing at least one hybrid metal component of the toner selected from a group consisting of hybrid metal-latex particles containing latex particles having a metal layer applied to them, hybrid metal-wax particles containing wax particles having a metal layer applied to them, hybrid metal-coloring particles containing particles of a coloring substance having a metal layer applied to them, and their combinations, bringing into contact at least one hybrid metallic toner component with one or more components selected from a group consisting of a latex polymer, wax, and coloring agent to produce a mixture, heating the mixture at a temperature below the glass transition temperature of the latex polymer to produce aggregated toner particles, adding a coalescing agent to the toner particles, which leads to the coalescence of the toner particles and the release of toner particles.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide a reliable method for producing silver metal toner, as well as to provide improved metal toner and metal toner particles that can be used as a dispersion of the orginal material in the emulsion aggregation process.
