FIELD: production of lubricants for cars.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a lubricant composition that contains a polyalkyleneglycol base oil component in an amount of at least 60 PBW (parts by weight) based on 100 PBW of the specified lubricant composition. The specified lubricant composition has a kinematic viscosity from 4 to 50 cSt at 100 °C and a kinematic viscosity from 20 to 700 cSt at 40 °C, each measured in accordance with ASTM D445. The specified polyalkyleneglycol base oil component comprises a first polyalkyleneglycol having a kinematic viscosity from 2 to 70 cSt at 100 °C and a kinematic viscosity from 5 to 200 cSt at 40 °C, each measured in accordance with ASTM D445, and the second polyalkyleneglycol having a kinematic viscosity from 50 to 220 cSt at 100 °C and a kinematic viscosity from 150 to 1300 cSt at 40 °C, each measured in accordance with ASTM D445. The specified second polyalkyleneglycol has a kinematic viscosity that is greater than the kinematic viscosity of the specified first polyalkyleneglycol at 100 °C and 40 °C; it is used as a lubricant for the axle. The invention also claims a method for contacting the lubricant composition with the vehicle axle.
EFFECT: increasing the fuel use efficiency of the vehicle.
