FIELD: pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an edible biodegradable product for oral consumption of nicotine. The product is an edible paper in the form of a strip impregnated with a solution of nicotine, its pharmaceutically acceptable salt or its analogue - an agonist from the group: cytisine, anabazine, lobelin, at a certain ratio of the solution components and a certain amount of solution applied to the paper.
EFFECT: invention provides ease of obtaining an edible biodegradable product for oral consumption of nicotine by applying on edible paper a predetermined amount of ingredients of a composition with nicotine or its salt (an analogue), and also provides an optimization of the nicotine dosage, in which the consumer can regulate its intake by choosing a certain amount of edible paper to quit smoking completely or as a safer substitute for smoking.
