SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to technical means for the separation of bulk materials and can be used in agriculture, grain processing, and woodworking, chemical, mining and other industries. The method for separating bulk materials includes feeding the separated raw material into a rotating cylindrical sieve, moving the material along the sieve under the action of the rotation and tilt of the sieve, separating the fine fraction from the starting material through the sieve openings, feeding the material remaining on the sieve into the air flow with rotating blades, and releasing the fractions from the material remaining on the sieve, withdrawal of the selected fractions. The air flow is formed behind the end of the cylindrical sieve from the side of the material outlet from the sieve. The air flow is directed upward. The rotation of the blades that feed the material into the air flow is carried out against the direction of rotation of the cylindrical sieve. The ends of the blades are pushed out of the sieve. The method is carried out using a separator containing a loading device, a rotating cylindrical sieve, a pneumatic separation channel, a shaft installed inside the sieve, blades mounted on the shaft, an adjusting device for adjusting the position of the blades relative to the sieve surface. A pneumatic separation channel for separation of bulk material by an upward air flow is made with the front, rear and side walls and is installed on the side of the unloading end of the sieve. The shaft is mounted for rotation in the opposite direction relative to the rotation of the sieve. The blades have a curvature of the working surface or are flat and are installed with the possibility of extending their ends outward beyond the end of the cylindrical sieve.

EFFECT: increasing productivity by increasing the efficiency of separating the light fraction with an air flow and separating the fine fraction on a sieve.
