FIELD: foam plastic production.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing foam particles from thermoplastic elastomers with polyamide segments, as well as foam particles and foam molded products. This method includes the following steps: (a) obtaining a suspension of a thermoplastic elastomer granulate in a suspension medium, (b) adding a foaming agent, (c) impregnating the granulate with a foaming agent by heating the suspension in a high-pressure tank to the impregnation temperature (IMT) at the impregnation pressure (IMP), (d) decompressing the suspension by emptying the high-pressure tank through an expansion device and processing the resulting foam particles. The impregnation temperature is from 80 to 180°C, and the impregnation pressure is from 150 to 5500 kPa abs.
EFFECT: obtained foam particles from thermoplastic elastomers have a low bulk density, ranging from 20 to 250 kg/m3, and are suitable for processing into elastic foam molded products with a high ability to elastic after-action.
