FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing granular foams from granules of foam plastic based on thermoplastic polyurethane. Method involves wetting of foam plastic granules with a polar liquid and their thermal connection together in a mold using microwave radiation, using a polar liquid, including glycol esters of acetic or citric acid, esters of acetic or citric acid glycerine, triethylene glycol, tripropylene glycol or their mixtures. Described also is granular foam plastic and a method of using granular foam plastic for packaging or shoes.
EFFECT: technical result is providing granular foam plastic, combining low density, high tensile strength and high elongation at break, as well as high rebound resilience.
