FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of high-temperature processing of carbonaceous materials and can be used to obtain products of coal pyrolysis. The method consists in conducting high-temperature electric-discharge firing of lumpy carbon fractions in a hollow retort with supply of air flow to the heat treatment zone as oxidizer. In addition, heated fired lump carbonaceous fractions are subjected to high-temperature electric-discharge firing, acting on them with a steam-water mixture. The method is implemented in a device for producing coal pyrolysis products, including a hollow retort made of graphite, a heat-insulating cover mounted on the upper end of the hollow retort, upper and lower electrodes. The lower electrode is made in the form of a set of rings. The device contains two sources of alternating voltage, a heating element made in the form of an inductor, a steam generator, a refrigerator and a control system.
EFFECT: more uniform and high-temperature processing of lumpy carbon fractions and the homogeneity of the resulting material.
