SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cooling device for a gasification reactor burner. The invention also relates to a gasification reactor equipped with a cooling device. The gasification reactor contains a sealed compartment, the reaction zone is partially bounded by a tubular membrane wall surrounded by a sealed compartment; at least one burner has a burner head, the specified burner head protrudes from the membrane wall, at least one cooling device is located in the membrane wall and covers the burner head of at least one burner, at least one cooling device contains several coaxial rings of increasing diameter, forming the shape of a truncated cone, with a hole with the largest diameter that faces the reaction zone, and a hole with the smallest diameter, which faces the burner head, each ring being a pipeline having an inlet and an outlet for a cooling medium, the hole with the smallest diameter for the burner head is located between the sealed compartment and the membrane wall, the cooling device contains at least one outer ring having a gap, which is an incomplete circle.

EFFECT: invention provides for creation of an improved burner muffle having a prolonged operation life.
