As a base station with known coordinates, a traffic light control unit is used at an adjustable intersection, at a pedestrian crossing and at a stationary post, in which a navigation unit equipped with a satellite receiver, a remote communication unit, a processor, a non-volatile memory, a unit of sensors and actuators is placed. The navigation unit is connected to a switch that controls the operation of traffic lights using a block of sensors and actuators, the modes of operation of traffic lights are synchronized with a satellite navigation receiver, the switching of traffic lights in time is stored in a non-volatile memory, and, if necessary, the operating mode of traffic lights is changed from a stationary control point by means of a remote control unit. communication, identify faults in the operation of traffic lights and information about these faults is transmitted through the remote communication unit to the appropriate service.

EFFECT: increased noise immunity of receivers and reliability of discrete information exchange between remote communication units.
