FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: method uses a central station (hereinafter – CS) equipped with radio communication facilities, telecommunications facilities and a computer. A model digital map of the railway network is formed, and it is made available through the network to automated workstations (hereinafter – AWS) of railway station control rooms and blocking points. The CS computer and the AWS computer are combined into a common computer network within the railway network under consideration. The control rooms are also equipped with means of radio communication with locomotives. The CS computer, based on the received data on the characteristics, location of the car and the required destination, generates optimal and suboptimal routes as recommended and transmits them to the AWS of control rooms. Control rooms, using the formed recommended routes of cars, control the movement of cars and their trains through radio communication with the locomotive drivers.
EFFECT: method provides possibility to form a model digital map of the railway network and provide regulation of the routes of both railway cars and train trains, taking into account the current situation of the location of the cars of the considered railway network.
