FIELD: printing.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an absorbent product with a printed pattern and a method for producing an absorbent product with a printed pattern. In particular, printing on the outer cover of an absorbent product can be performed by using a hydrophobic substrate and applying the water-based ink containing pigments to the dye-receptive coating, which has a thickness of about 0.1 millimeter or less and a basis weight of at least 2 g/m2, while the coating absorbs liquid from the ink with a contact angle of zero degrees or approximately zero degrees, meanwhile the ink is printed onto a hydrophobic substrate at a print speed of at least 500 f/m.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
