FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making a substrate for suppressing odour. The activated carbon based paint is applied in form of a pattern which covers approximately 25-95% of the surface of a substrate. To improve the appearance of the odour suppression substrate one or more coloured paints may be applied on the substrate in form of a pattern which may or may not overlap with the pattern of the activated carbon based paint. The coloured paint(s) may strongly contrast with the activated carbon based paint to form a pattern which looks better than when a uniform coating of the activated carbon based paint is used.

EFFECT: higher absorption capacity of the substrate.
