FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment used in underground wells and downhole operations, in particular to downhole systems, bottom hole assemblies, pushers and related methods for operating downhole valves. Pusher for use in a subterranean well includes a throttle that extends outwardly in the well from a radially retracted position to a radially extended position. The throttle contains a resilient ring that extends radially outward in response to longitudinal displacement of the coupling relative to the resilient ring. To implement the method of operation of at least one downhole valve connected in a tubular string in a subterranean well using a pusher, a fluid medium is supplied through a restriction of the flow to form a pressure drop across the restriction. The downhole valve shutoff element is moved between the open and closed positions in response to a pressure drop as fluid flow passes through the restriction.

EFFECT: said invention creates additional longitudinal force by means of fluid flow through an outwardly extending throttle to displace the valve moving element.
