SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pesticide chemistry, more specifically to a method for producing N-(isopropoxycarbonyl) ethylenediamine (I)

The method for producing N-(isopropoxycarbonyl)ethylenediamine (I) includes the interaction of a tenfold excess of ethylenediamine (II) with isopropyl-(N-succinimidyl)carbonate (V) in a solvent medium, filtration of the precipitate formed and isolation of the target product from the resulting solution. Anhydrous chlorine-containing hydrocarbon is used as a solvent - dichloromethane, 1,2-dichloroethane or chlorobenzene.

EFFECT: proposed method for producing N-(isopropoxycarbonyl)ethylenediamine (I) provides an improvement in the environmental and technical and economic indicators of the technological process of production through the use of non-toxic isopropyl-(N-succinimidyl)carbonate (V) as an acylating agent, reducing the amount of liquid aqueous-organic waste, the possibility of regeneration of the used organic solvents and the yield of the target product up to 83%.
